The junior section training (up to year 7) train fortnightly on a Sunday morning from 10-11.30, except if a Tournament occurs. Children in years 1 & 2 finish a little earlier (as they have often had enough) but are welcome to stay if they wish to. However, for these younger children we ask that a parent or guardian remains on site for the whole session. The next training session will be on Sunday 6th October , then every second weekend thereafter.

We aim to have three groups; the minis (years 1&2), the U10s (years 3-5) and the U12s (years 6 & 7) although if for some reason it would be better for your child to go into a different group then this can be flexible, subject to agreement with the coaches.

There are monthly tournaments with other clubs, also on a Sunday for the U10s and U12 girls. These are usually in the morning and the organisers aim for fixtures to be no more than one hour away. These fixtures are not compulsory but if your child wishes to play then he/she will be able to do so. Once they have been finalised by Kent Hockey, the dates of these fixtures (and the training timetable for the season) will be published on our website.

Mouthguards and shin pads are compulsory. It is also a good idea to bring a water bottle and plenty of warm clothing as it is very exposed on the SVPS pitch.

For the first time this season, all communication and information will be via our web site www.suttonvalencehockey.com and "pitchero" our club management system. During the next few days, you should receive an email from pitchero. If your child wishes to join the club, please click the relevant button and sign up on our online system so that you will receive notifications and information in the future. If you do not register we will destroy the registration form which you completed on club day.

Subs for juniors up to year 7 are £45 per child for the season (which ends at the end of March). If you have two or more children you will receive a £5 discount for each additional child. Subs can be paid in cash or cheque in favour of "Sutton Valence Hockey Club" (please put your cash/cheque in a sealed envelope with your child's name on it and hand to Helen at the next training session).
