Great result from U10s in their tournament - 3 wins and a draw

Sutton Valence U10s entertained Folkestone, Anchorians and Old Williamsonians in a Triangular Tournament. Sutton Valence played four games winning three and drawing one. Valence managed not to concede a single goal all tournament, which was impressive. With strong play from Rachel, Edward and Evie, Valence were able to maintain a very attacking performance in all of their games.

The opening game against Old Wills Falcons, Valence were able to score two goals from Edward and Evie. Flora and Josie's hard work in midfield prevented Old Wills Falcons from forming any real attacking opportunities.

Valence's second game was against Anchorians Whites, which they won 1 nil with the goal from Thomas. This game was a much more even encounter than Valence's opening game. Thomas and Imogen's persistence in defence prevented Anchorians from equalising.

Valence's third game was against Old Wills Lions which was drawn nil, nil.

Valence's final game was against Folkestone A team which was won four nil. The opening goal came from Nathan and the second quickly after from Edward. Folkestone were a strong side and created a number of goal scoring chances but Nathan, Niamh and Matilda's solid work in midfield broke down these attacking chances. The third goal was well executed by Evie from Emilia's cross. Valence continued pressure resulted in a final fourth goal from Rachel.

Sutton Valence U10s worked hard in all their four matches and it was a good overall team performance. Valence are now looking forward to the next tournament away at Folkestone, against Folkestone, Maidstone and Cliftonville.
