Fine Match Reporting rewarded

Dickie Turnill was the first winner the new Club Trophy provided by Paul Linaker for the most reliable and readable Match Reports for the season. He is seen being presented with the Trophy by Russell Blanchard at the 2nd Xl Dinner in Hawkhurst on the 9th June.
The engraved tankard is intended to be presented annually, and be available for the sole use of the winner at the Queen's Head during the following season.
Dickie's reports combined a believable, if not always unbiased, report on the progress of the games, together with some running gags about other team members, were always a pleasure to read and requiring minimal editing.
As Media contact and Editor, Paul Linaker hopes the trophy will help to create more interest from other teams in upping their efforts to get their match reports up to a similar standard and in on time.
