Continue their high scoring

On a crisp October day, Sutton Valence Hockey Club's 1st XI delivered a commanding performance against the home team, BBHC. The away side left no doubt about their prowess, securing a resounding 8-0 victory, underlining their dominance.
The match began with a flurry of action, and within the first five minutes, Andy Turnill showcased his scoring prowess by finding the back of the net. Turnill wasn't content with just one goal; he went on to add three more to his tally in the first half alone. The attacking flair of Sutton Valence was evident, as Lewis Mitchell took a shot that was expertly saved by the BBHC goalkeeper, and Matthew Luksich delivered two short corners that were narrowly defended by the vigilant BBHC backline.
The second half was no different, with Sutton Valence continuing to exert their authority. Alex Stamp, the team captain, demonstrated his leadership and scoring ability by slotting one in from the top of the circle. Matthew Luksich was not to be outdone, contributing another goal from a short corner. Stamp was back in action, finding the net from the edge of the circle. Andy Turnill, despite having one goal disallowed incorrectly, displayed his resilience by scoring yet again, this time from a drag-flick.
In a true team effort, Lewis Mitchell and Fred McVarish played tirelessly, while Angus McVarish and Dickie Turnill were instrumental in both attack and defence, showcasing their versatility. Goalkeeper Mark Whitmill was largely untested but came through with a crucial save when needed. Dan Brooks played exceptionally well in his first game back returning from injury.
The star of the match and a consistent standout, Andy Turnill, was awarded the Man of the Match for his superb performance, continuing his outstanding form from the previous week. Turnill's contribution to the team has been a vital factor in Sutton Valence's exceptional start to the season.
Valence clearly outclassed their opponents, demonstrating their skill, teamwork, and determination. With this emphatic 8-0 victory, they have set a high standard for the season ahead and left no doubt about their status as a formidable force in the division. Sutton Valence look forward to building on this momentum in the games to come.
