Lord Farquaad scores hat-trick to secure another 3 points

This week Sutton Valence 1st XI travelled down to Herne Bay to play the hosts 3rd XI.
It was cold and wet but after being told they were playing on their show pitch, Valence had the boost they needed to get out there and extend their winning streak.
Valence started well, having most of the possession in the first 15minutes. After a number of close misses the current top goal scorer Andy Turnill slotted in two very similar drag flicks in quick succession. This calmed Valence but they were hungry for more.
Herne Bay goalkeeper made some great saves and their defence kept Valence out until Lewis Mitchell found the goal to end the half 3-0.

Valence started the second half with their heads high but frustration set in. A string of lost balls and confused position responsibilities riled them and a few words were said between the Valence players. Not a good look from a team 3-0 up!
Herne Bay took advantage of this and scored from a short corner, striking the ball from the top of the D into the bottom left-hand corner.
After this wake-up, Valence took back control with a good team goal from passing the ball round the Herne Bay defence with Lewis Mitchell taking his second.
To finish things off Lewis Mitchell scored his hat-trick with a great solo goal, beating a defender and striking the ball past the keeper.
Full time 5-1.
With goalkeeping issues this week. A special mention must be made to Eskimo Trig for putting the kit on for the team. And Barbie Den for driving down from Crystal Palace to make the push back.
