1st X1 continued domination of the 3rd Division

In a thrilling encounter on Saturday 27th January 2024, Sutton Valence Hockey Club’s 1st XI once again showcased their dominance on the field, securing a resounding 0-7 victory against Sevenoaks Hockey Club’s 5th XI.
The away team’s exceptional teamwork and individual brilliance left the opposition struggling to find their footing throughout the match. From the first whistle, Sutton Valence asserted their authority, maintaining possession and creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities.
The breakthrough came early in the game when Alex Stamp demonstrated his creativity with an improvised, yet clinical finish. By halftime, with further goals from Andy Turnill and Lewis Mitchell, Sutton Valence had established a commanding 0-3 lead, leaving Sevenoaks with a mountain to climb in the second half. The away team's defensive resilience and disciplined midfield play stifled any attempts by the opposition to mount a comeback.
In the second half, Sutton Valence continued their attacking prowess. Alex Stamp added three more goals to complete his impressive four-goal haul, and Andy Turnill added another to his notable tally.
