Sutton Valence Ladies headed to Burnt Ash Hockey Club for our next league game. We started strongly with a positive attack and defense but then had many short corners to defend. Thankfully these were worked well and Indie in goal had a an incredible first half. Training was starting to show though as the mid field and attack ran & ran making sure the gaps from our defense to them were filled with skill and great marking. The defense was moving up better to cover and mark but the first half ended with 2 goals down but we had been on the attack too and just missed out. Having refuelled and talked attacking tactics we came out and made the second half far more secure. Passing was occurring with aptitude and space with the attackers and mid field keeping strong. With our whole season this year being one of firsts Isla & Megan became our first goal scorers of the year. So well deserved ladies. Our forwards had all worked so well together to help achieve these. Burnt Ash attackers did however come back at us and get two goals in the second half. Final score being 4 -2 to Burnt Ash but a great morning of hockey played and much to be proud of.
