On a warm sunny morning that felt like it was at the end of summer not the beginning of winter, SV were looking to gain a win over their local rivals Marden. The 1st half was a evenly fought game with both sides defending well to make it difficult for the opposition to create chances. SV played some excellent hockey at times, but didn’t find the killer instinct in front of goal.
The 2nd half though was a different story and a one sided affair, with SV's midfield starting to put more and more pressure on Marden. The pressure eventually resulted in 2 goals coming from short corners and 2 in open play. SV’s goal keeper had a pretty easy half with only having only 1 shot to deal with.
Man of the match has to go to Chris Sheldon for his first hat-trick for the club and his general overall performance.
