Everything about this week’s game was scrappy, from selection nightmares, through to the final result. Sutton Valence turn up with just before push back as traffic impacted most players journey's. SV started the game well and dominated possession, were unable to translate that into goals. There were moments of good team passing, but a lot of scrappy passing that stifled progress. In the end it was Wellcome who struck first through a short corner against the run of play, this signalled something had to change. After maintain possession again Chris Sheldon struck a short corner equaliser, followed by another well worked goal from Chris to take the lead.

Wellcome eventually equalised and were close to taking the lead once more, had it not been for the excellent Chris Shelton making some reactionary saves. 3 minutes from time SV moved the ball from the back, through the midfield to find Paddy in the D. A well placed shot found the bottom corner to secure 3 points for SV. To watch the game.... well it wasn't the prettiest hockey we’ve played, but we felt we certainly deserved all 3 points as we dominated possession for most of the game.
