Valence were so dominant in the game, it was almost as if the opposition hadn’t actually turned up.
Right from the off, Valence were controlling everything, with BOC literally not able to get hold of the ball. The Valence defence were in complete control, and the midfield had so much space it was impossible not to find a Valence stick.
This utter dominance continued throughout the first half, with Valence racing into a 5-0 lead. Hall scored his first goal in modern times, Carter chipped in with another, and Hodges scored an early hat trick.
The second half continued in the same vein, and if it wasn’t for the fact that Sheldon and Johnson missed a hat trick of penalty flicks and drag flicks, and that Hodges realised he couldn’t afford to buy all the potential jugs that Valence didn’t increase their lead.
The watching support (Willson jr) commented that in all her years she’d never seen a side so dominant over the other.
