Valence turned up with a bare 10.5 players, after a last minute drop out.
Given Canterburys position in the league, there was hope from Valence that this might be the week that the season was kick started, but sadly this wasn’t to be the case.
By the time half time was reached, Valence found themselves down 0-4, with the general feeling that the score line flattered Canterbury and 2nd half was all to play for.
This proved to be true, with Valence having the better of the second half, however being reduced to 10 men due to the 11th man having to go to his game in Herne Bay, Valence had little outlet so shots were few and far between. Canterbury finished the rout with a 5th near the end of the match, meaning SV had succumbed to their 3rd straight defeat.
Moral is still high, with the general feeling that the team won teas, a victory the team will gladly take.
Onwards and upwards, and Valence welcome Wellcome to fortress SV, looking for their first win of the season.
