On a sunny Saturday at the pre-school ground Sutton Valance 2 took on Sevenoaks M6.
With not many games left in the league and Sutton Valance struggling in the bottom few it
was very important to secure a win. Once again, and similar to the way we have started
most of our games this season we started very slowly and quickly found ourselves 1 down.
SV then managed to pull themselves together, work rate in the midfield shifted up a gear
lead by Alex Hodges and Tom Wilson leading to a superb goal from Tom in the top LH
corner. Work rate continued the rest of the first half, with Chris Sheldon putting away a
short corner meaning SV finished the first half 2 1 up.
The second half started at the same pace with SV holding most of the possession, the third
goal for SV came from Chris Sheldon scoring from a superbly taken corner. As the game
progressed the energy levels dropped, and the game got a bit scrappy in the later parts of
the second half. Sevenoaks managed to pick out an unmarked forward with a long pass to
probably the youngest player on the pitch who scored with a great reverse shot. The game
finished 3 2 to Sutton Valance
