Valence 2nd Xl enjoyed themselves in this game, keeping the visitors under sustained pressure from the start, leading to numerous short corners and good open play from both of which goals came. The first was from Chris Sheldon, then a short corner shot by Chris Back found Brett Angel on the post to clip it in.
In the second half Folkestone managed to get one back during a late and spirited charge, but it was not maintained, and short of the quality to trouble the home team. Finally, Chris Back rounded the game off with a superb short corner strike that gave the keeper no chance.
