Friendly match on a warm end of summer morning at SVP

It's always good to have a few games to get rid of the summer glut (or gut) . This week SV3s played Burnt Ash 6s, many familiar faces in both teams and it was very much a friendly match with both sides using their bench(s).

Much of the first half pressure came from SV working to retain the ball and ensure passing was simple and effective. This in urn left Burnt Ash playing a break-away game that caught SV on a few occasions short of players at the back and a quick scramble to make sure Burnt Ash attack was closed down. With shots on goal from both sides, the first 10-15 mins enabled everyone to feel the summer effects and get their lungs working hard.

Chris Jackson taking on some of the defence managed to get SV's first goal , Alex Sandberg getting our 2nd in the first half . Then Alex scored again early in the second half and at 3 goals up in second half with concerntration, fitness taking it's toll , SV let Burnt Ash gain the better of them , where Burnt Ash scored 2 quick goals taking the game to 3-2 with 10 mins to play. Fortunately Dunan Fied put the game out of sight with a goal late in the game. Result 4-2 to SV3s, probably need the team to get to training soon.
