On a wet, windy and cold Saturday morning Sutton Valence headed to the Costa Del Sol Folkestone to take on the current head of the league, unfortunately the weather was even worse when we arrived. Sutton Valence had a solid side of regulars and looking to build on a previous games
Both teams started well (which was a good improvement for Sutton Valence's previous performances) but unfortunately gave away an early short corner which was clinically put away by Folkestone, this was followed by a second which came of a rebound and bounced over the keeper and into the corner of the goal. This lead Sutton Valence down 0 2 at halftime
The pep talk at half time was very positive. We were generally playing very well and felt a bit unlucky to be 0 2 down at this point, Sutton Valence started the second half very strong with a high level of possession. Our defence was strong and the midfield were moving the ball around well leading to several chances in their D
By some form of miracle our right back found himself in possession and only a few inches from the edge of their D. Once he had shook of the dizziness and whipped the blood from under his nose, he took a shot and somehow it went in. Following consistence pressure from our forwards and midfield we managed to score a second about 10 min later, this was where the game finished, with 2 2 being a fair result
