The ladies match got off to a competitive start, with both sides showing early intent. The first half was closely contested, ending 1–1 as each team managed to break through solid defensive structures. Possession was evenly shared, and Indi Beech in goal was called into action to keep the score level going into the break.

After halftime, the game opened up significantly. Sutton Valence found another gear, pushing forward with greater urgency and precision. The midfield Nicky Coomansingh, Laura Boorman, Frankie Bavin, Evie Westlake and Sarah Burton played a crucial role, working tirelessly to win back possession and distribute the ball effectively into attacking areas, creating a steady flow of scoring opportunities for Maddie Wells, Isla Hill, Morgan Lee and Megan Saunders.

Leading the charge was Maddie Wells, who delivered an outstanding performance by scoring a hat trick in the second half. Her clinical finishing and intelligent positioning proved too much for the opposition to handle, turning the game decisively in our favour.

Behind the attacking success was a relentless defensive effort. Cath Mills, Isabelle Edmed, Natascha Strydom and Abbie Norris in defence remained composed under pressure, consistently clearing the ball out of the D and preventing sustained attacks from the opposition. Their determination and discipline provided a solid foundation for the team’s forward momentum.

By the final whistle, the second half dominance was clear, with a 4–2 scoreline reflecting the team’s hard work, cohesion, and attacking quality. It was a strong all-round performance, highlighted by excellent teamwork across defence, midfield, and attack.
