SVHC Women’s 1s Dominate Gillingham 3s in Convincing 5–0 Win
SVHC Women’s 1s put in a dominant performance against Gillingham 3s at home on Saturday, securing a convincing 5–0 victory after controlling an impressive 95% of the play in their attacking half.

Sutton Valence got off to the perfect start, with Maddie Wills finding the net within the first five minutes following some excellent team attacking play. The early goal set the tone for what was to be a one-sided contest.

Sutton Valence continued to dominate, combining strong passing with an intense and effective press that made it extremely difficult for Gillingham to play the ball out of their defensive half. The pressure was relentless and created plenty of opportunities for the whole team to get involved.

With the game firmly under their control, Sutton Valence were able to experiment, try new combinations and give defensive players the freedom to push forward. Maddie Wills added two more goals to complete her hat-trick - one coming from a fantastic short-corner strike and the other beautifully assisted by her teammates.

Sarah Burton also got on the scoresheet by deflecting in another cracking short-corner strike from Wills, while Nicky Coomansingh rounded off the scoring with a lovely finish, knocking the ball in from an efficient cross pass.

It was a fantastic all-round team performance, with every player making a valuable contribution and the squad making excellent use of the opportunities the game presented.

Stand-out performances came from Laura Boorman, Maddie Wills, Amber Wilson and Evie Westlake, all of whom played key roles in Sutton Valence's dominant display.
