Match Report: SV W2s vs Knole Park – Saturday 26 th September
A tough game against a young and energetic Knole Park side saw SV ladies W2s
face a challenging afternoon of hockey.
The first half was difficult, but with adaptations made by the umpires at half-time, this
allowed W2s to settle into the game and play much more hockey in the second half,
showing good determination and teamwork despite the scoreline.
Unfortunately, the final result was 12–0 to Knole Park, but there were plenty of
positives to take from the performance and the players continued to work hard right
until the final whistle.
A special mention goes to Phoebe, who made her debut and showed great attitude
and effort throughout the game — a fantastic first appearance! Players of the Match:
Bella – a brilliant performance in goal, making some excellent saves and keeping
the team fighting.
Alice – worked tirelessly throughout and showed great determination and
commitment.
Well done to everyone for battling through a tough game and continuing to support
each other. There are plenty of positives to build on as we look ahead to the next
match!
