Ladies Development Team v.s Kingshill 2-1 Win
Sutton Valence Ladies 2's put in a stella performance against Kings Hill Saturday 10th October. We had 3 new players in the team today and everyone started out strong. We dominated from the start with Morgan Lee, Isla Hill, Phoebe Robinson, up front passing confidently with space trying to get around the very strong defence. Liz Skinner, Evie Westlake and Louise Mayhew in mid field supported incredibly strongly picking up all the defence threw back at them. Two great goals by Isla Hill & Evie Westlake were scored and thoroughly deserved having battled constantly in the goal mouth.

It also meant that at half time were 2 nil up and raring to go for the second half.

Kings Hill started the second half strongly attacking more but Abbie Norris, Amie Mills, Louise Mayhew & Eva marked well and stopped plenty coming through. They also pushed up well and we saw all 3 of them playing beyond the half way line. Defence stayed strong with Bella Wells coming further out in the d with amazing results on more than one occasion. Eva proved to be a valiant defender on her first game filtering the ball well to Phoebe Robinson who would race it down the wing.
Our forwards and mid field still dominated (and were still running) and we saw lovely attempts at goals and rebounds but unfortunately no additional goals. New comers Caroline Core & Louise Mayhew both succeeded in a couple of strong crosses into the D.
In the last few seconds of the game a short corner was given so Kings Hill grabbed the final goal but we did have a well deserved win.
It was a fantastic all-round team performance, with every player making a valuable contribution. Well played everyone. The effort and team work shown today means it is onwards and upwards Sutton Valence Ladies!
